Hi, this is Gagana & Girish, the hearts behind LabelSora.

LabelSora didn’t begin with a business plan. It began years ago with scraps of fabric from our mom’s old sarees. Little pieces stitched into messy outfits for dolls, imperfect but full of imagination. Even then, there was something about fabric, the texture, the fall, the feeling that felt magical.

Growing up, I often found myself searching for clothes that truly felt like me. Good fabric, meaningful prints, something rooted yet expressive. And when I couldn’t find it, I remember telling Girish, “Maybe I should just start my own label.” His response was simple “You know what, let’s actually do it.” That was the moment LabelSora stopped being a thought and started becoming real.

Starting from scratch wasn’t glamorous. It meant chasing vendors, switching suppliers after delays, waiting endlessly for samples that never arrived, questioning designs, and battling constant “what ifs.” What if we fail? What if no one likes it? What if we’re not ready?

Some people doubted us. But we kept going.

Because this brand isn’t just clothing for us. It’s something that makes us feel alive.

Why ethnic? Because it’s who we are. Our roots are Indian. Our culture is woven with block prints, traditional motifs, and fabrics that carry history. Our pieces are hand-blocked and thoughtfully sourced, crafted to balance comfort with quiet statement-making. We don’t claim to be the most different brand out there. But every LabelSora piece carries a story and when you wear it, it becomes yours.

“Sora” means sky. Vast. Limitless. Expansive.

That’s how we see this brand, growing slowly but steadily, reaching women who are building their dreams one step at a time.
